D.A.R.E. Program

Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges are actively supporting many local D.A.R.E. programs throughout Massachusetts. Each lodge supports a program local to them. D.A.R.E is a nonprofit program funded through community and corporate donations that uses police officers to teach drug prevention and life management skills to elementary, middle, and high school students.. Beginning with just 10 officers in one school district 16 years ago, D.A.R.E. is now taught to more than 30 million students in the U.S. in more than 300,000 classrooms. That's 80 percent of our nation's school districts. It is taught in all 50 states and in 32 other countries. Approximately 49,000 D.A.R.E. officers are trained to teach the program.
